dinoblobI've progressed a bit story-wise and the game has given me new soul pacts that can slot multiple puppet soldiers to a coven now.
The Reinforcement cost for this seems a bit steep and I have to buy my own puppet parts; idk where the game text says "souls are easy to find" when I've only found maybe one so far in the dungeons?
So I think things are basically finally ramping up, and I'm regretting slightly how I set up my original soldiers but I have time to adjust the covens I think.
I was not expecting the whole skit with Marietta happening the way it did. It's almost creepier that Luca had no idea and since she loves potatoes there's the risk she could really run back to Marietta and become groomed by her. Even though Dronya's dialogue hints to her being savvy to what the setting was (a perfumed bed in an abbey, offer to massage) I wasn't prepared for both the CG art and dialogue to make it that explicit.
I guess that was how they planned on writing "hey this town is really fucked up! and not just politically!" which, it sure did shock me, but it was just that--shock factor in the absence of context. It hasn't reached a point in the game yet where you unlock all the mechanics for crying out loud, they really don't hint to much other than, wow there's a labyrinth under the well and no one goes outside at night. People die mysteriously at night and the town crier announces this every morning.
As for finding that noble randomly in the swamp that leads to the gnome town, I'm curious about what it means that there's multiple "worlds" and not just more underground dungeons with stronger monsters about.
