i left tumblr bc i can't ever seem to block spoilers but i feel like i may as well embrace it the end of this year
Apparently this comic totally predicted a scene in this episode?
I know everyone will be posting or redrawing the adrienette sleepy shoulder but I love Alya's whole Bugs Bunny break-the-fourth-wall look before everything goes down. I love Alya.
And Max's Miraculous introduction! I love how supportive he is of his mom! Flying into space from the ocean was... probably about the point my suspension of disbelief disappeared, and I was surprised the Space!form Miraculous didn't show up so... I guess... this is not the end of space adventures.
Overall, I thought this was a pretty sweet episode, and we got to learn that Hawkmoth does have limits for how far he can control an Akuma. I guess one way to look at it is that Hawkmoth generally assigns a power to a victim, but if they feel strongly enough about something, they can shape their own image for their powers and act on it from there? Max's mom never had to telepathically confirm her desires or anything, she just WENT OFF.
I watched this episode back to back with some other episodes I hadn't fully caught up on like Time Tagger and now I think... I just need to sit with some thoughts and write out a longer analysis later, though I'm sure somebody else has already made some good predictions already.
