dinoblobSo, I'd seen the theories online about Emma possibly having to go back in time to become Mujika somehow (since [gibberish] is not bound by space or time), but I wasn't quite convinced about it, until this page.
The look they share I think is a lot more than just guilt or worry about trying to stop Norman, I think Emma is looking at her confirmed future/past, and Mujika is doing the same.
Thinking about it too, it could possibly help answer a bit more about Mujika:
Perhaps rather than just asking for something from Emma, it was more like a bet--if Emma was able to change some outcome at the capital involving Norman's plan, the promise would be fulfilled. If she couldn't, then maybe this all loops back and she has to try "again" by becoming Mujika and hoping that Emma of the next timeline can figure it out?
Maybe that's a bit convoluted, but this series went from the Horror/Thriller of kids trying to escaped their planned murders to uhh... the same kids trying to overthrow a corrupt government and stop their buddy from committing genocide??
I honestly wasn't expecting this chapter to move so quickly from establishing that Sonju and Mujika made it to the capital safely, that Emma and Ray are closing in on the final battle. I also honestly thought we'd have a chapter that shows Phil and the other children before coming up to the near final confrontation, I mean, they made out Phil to be pretty dang important like he might be their ace in the hole later. Maybe he'll still be able to come through or something?

- Her blood can help the demons from devolving, if she herself was human in origin (and a high quality cattle child at that)
- How Mujika and Sonju were able to find the children in the first place and how Mujika pulled Emma to the side to tell her to "Find the Seven Walls" and give her the pendant.
- Sonju mentioning that Mujika Never had to consume humans before and wouldn't likely understand his desire to hunt
